RhythmRecall Rap Battle (“Contest”) is sponsored by NursingNotes (“Sponsor”).

No Purchase Necessary

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A purchase does not increase your chances of winning.

Eligibility

• Open to legal residents of the United States.
• Must be 18 years or older at time of entry.
• Contest content must be nursing / NCLEX / nursing education-related.
• Sponsor may require identity verification for prize fulfillment.
• Employees/contractors of Sponsor and their household members are not eligible.
• Follow Requirement (Prizes): Following @NursingNotesMusic on instagram or @Nursingnotes.org is required to be eligible for cash prizes and bracket participation. Sponsor may verify follow status prior to awarding prizes.

Contest Period

The Contest is evergreen with weekly, monthly, and quarterly components:

• Weekly Entry Window: Monday 12:00am PT through Saturday 11:59pm PT
• Weekly Winners Announced: Sunday at 6:00pm PT (Live + post)
• Monthly “Bracket Week”: First 7 days of each month
• Quarterly Championship: Final week of March/June/September/December (or as posted by Sponsor)

Sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeper.

How to Enter (Weekly)

To enter the weekly contest, you must:

1. Post a public TikTok video (20–45 seconds) that teaches ONE nursing/NCLEX concept.
2. Follow @NursingNotesMusic forInstagram or @NursingNotes.org for TikTok
3. Include required on-screen text in your video: “RhythmRecall Battle — NursingNotes”
4. Include the required caption (copy/paste allowed): Topic: [your concept]
   @NursingNotesMusic (for Instagram) or @NursingNotes.org (for TikTok)

5. Submit your TikTok link via the entry form on NursingNotes.org/rapbattle (email required; phone optional).

Limit: reasonable number of entries per person per week as determined by Sponsor (Sponsor may disqualify spam).

Audio Rules (Official Beat Rule)

You may post your entry with any audio for reach. However:

• To qualify for cash prizes and Monthly Bracket Week, your eligible entry must use the “Official Beat of the Week” provided on NursingNotes.org/rapbattle (downloadable MP3/WAV).

• We judge the Official Beat version for prizes and bracket eligibility.

• Trending audio is optional and allowed for reach, but it may not be eligible for Sponsor reposting or bracket seeding.

Same verse is allowed across both posts.

Beat License (Contest Use Only)
The Official Beat of the Week is provided for this contest only. By downloading it, you may:

• Record vocals over the beat and post your contest entry on TikTok/Instagram/YouTube.

You may NOT:

• Re-upload, sell, or distribute the instrumental beat by itself

• Claim ownership of the beat

• Register the beat or your entry in Content ID

• Distribute your entry to Spotify/Apple (DSP release) without written permission from Sponsor

Cash + Bracket Eligibility Requirements (Additional)

To be eligible for cash prizes and Monthly Bracket Week, you must also:

1. Submit one eligible entry that uses the Official Beat of the Week (downloaded from NursingNotes.org/rapbattle).

2. Submit your entry link through the official form (required).

3. Follow requirement: Following @NursingNotesMusic (Instagram) or @NursingNotes.org (TikTok) is required for cash prizes and bracket participation. Sponsor may verify follow status prior to awarding prizes.

4. Duet or Stitch Sponsor’s weekly “Topic Drop” post is recommended for bracket seeding (Sponsor may use it as a tie-breaker/seed signal).

Failure to include the required caption and pinned comment may result in ineligibility for cash prizes and bracket seeding, at Sponsor’s discretion.

Bracket Eligibility (Monthly “Bracket Week”)

To be eligible for the Monthly Top 16 bracket:

• You must have submitted an eligible entry during the prior month, and

• Your eligible entry must use the Official Beat of the Week, and

• Duet/Stitch of the weekly “Topic Drop” may be used for seeding/tie-breaks (as posted by Sponsor).

Sponsor reserves the right to seed the bracket using a combination of weekly winners and wildcard selections.

Content Requirements + Prohibited Content

Your entry must:

• Be original (your performance and lyrics).
• Teach one concept clearly.
• Be safe and responsible.

Genres: Entries may be submitted in Hip Hop or R&B style (rap or sung). Sponsor may disqualify entries that do not align with these genres for bracket seeding to keep judging consistent.
Prohibited:

• No real NCLEX questions or copyrighted question stems from prep companies.
• No patient-identifying information (PHI) or identifying patient stories.
• No medically unsafe advice. Entries that contain dangerous misinformation may be disqualified.
• No hate speech, harassment, or illegal content.

Winner Selection + Judging

Weekly Winners: Selected by Sponsor (judge decision).
Monthly Bracket Winners: Head-to-head matchups posted by Sponsor. Winner determined by:

• 60% Sponsor judge score (clarity, accuracy, retention, delivery)
• 40% community vote (comments “A” or “B” within the voting window)

Quarterly Champion: Bracket winner (same scoring method unless otherwise posted).
Sponsor decisions are final.

Prizes (Launch Month + Ongoing)

Launch Month (first calendar month after launch date):

• Two (2) weekly cash winners: $100 each
• One (1) weekly access winner: 30-Day Access (approx. $149 value

Ongoing Weekly Prizes (after Launch Month):

• Sponsor may continue 1–2 weekly cash winners and/or access winners as posted on the contest page.

Monthly Bracket Week Prizes:

• Monthly Champion: $500 cash + 90-Day All-Access
• Runner-up: $150 cash + 30-Day Access

Quarterly Championship Prize:

• Quarterly Champion: $1,000 cash + 90-Day All-Access
• Runner-up: $250 cash + 60-Day Access

Prizes are non-transferable. Sponsor may substitute prizes of equal or greater value.

Prize Verification + Taxes

Cash prize winners must complete verification (including ID) and may be required to complete tax forms (e.g., W-9). Winners are responsible for applicable taxes.

Publicity + Rights

By entering, you grant Sponsor permission to repost, clip, edit for length, and use your content for promotional purposes with credit (where feasible). You retain ownership of your content.

General Conditions

Sponsor may disqualify entries that violate rules or appear to involve fraud, bots, purchased engagement, or manipulation.
Sponsor may disqualify entries that do not include the required caption format, required on-screen text, or use of the Official Beat of the Week (for cash/bracket eligibility).

Privacy + SMS

By submitting the form, you consent to Sponsor’s collection of your information for contest administration. If you opt into SMS, you consent to receive contest-related messages; message/data rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out.

Void Where Prohibited

Void where prohibited by law.

Additional Clauses

Sponsor may require proof of identity and eligibility before awarding any prize. Failure to verify = forfeiture.

Sponsor may disqualify entries that show evidence of purchased engagement, automated activity, or manipulation

Entries containing harmful misinformation, unsafe clinical advice, or medically dangerous instructions may be removed/disqualified at Sponsor’s sole discretion.

Only entries submitted through the official form are eligible.

Winner is responsible for any taxes; Sponsor may require tax forms before payout.

When selected, winners have 48 hours to respond and verify. If not:

• forfeit and you pick an alternate.

You can be Disqualified for:

• harmful misinformation
• hate/harassment
• purchased engagement
• impersonation
• plagiarism (copying another contestant’s verse)
